Worx of Africa was set up in 1997 to produce high end giftware with an African feel – and to create jobs as part of a South Africa government employment programme under the Department of Trade and Industry.

Everything we produce is extremely labour intensive and more than 70 people have found direct employment with hundreds more gathering monkey balls and woods in rural areas.

Worx exhibits twice a year on the local Sarcda exhibition in Johannesburg and has retailers all over the world who stock our products, which range from ostrich eggs to monkey balls, pewter and firewoods.
